Desperate for Controversy
What? What? I have to wake up this morning to a major controversy over a thirty second skit that aired before Monday Night Football last night. Is this fucking necessary? You have got to be kidding me. I am really thinking about enacting physical harm on everyone involved in this “controversy.”
Basically this is what took place. Nicollete Sheridan (the resident whore of Desperate Housewives) came into the Philadelphia Eagles locker room in a towel and had some give and take with Terrell Owens. She dropped her towel (Hubba, Hubba) and hopped into Owens’ arms and he says something like my team will have to win without me. Ha, Ha, funny and cross promotional. As old as network television itself last time I checked. But apparently there were some people who watch this and phoned in calls of complaint with the FCC, the NFL, and ABC. Who are any of these people? What fat undersexed, out of work, nacho eating beer breathe smelling Eagles fan said to the themselves, “Hey why is some hot naked broad jumping into TO’s arms?” Then there comes the useless hypocritical apologies.
"The placement of last night's Monday Night Football opening segment was inappropriate. We apologize," ABC Sports said Tuesday.
Oh really, it was inappropriate. Well then why did you play it? Why is it inappropriate? Isn’t it just a take on the show, which you advertise as a “A primetime soap with a truly contemporary take on "happily every after," this new hour- long drama takes a darkly comedic look at suburbia, where the secret lives of housewives aren't always what they seem." Are you saying your sex driven adulteress laden show is inappropriate? Why not pull the show about suburban whore housewives? It does not seem inappropriate when you are getting 21.8 million viewers on Sunday nights does it. What a bunch of fucking hypocrites, not to be outdone by their partner in crime the National Football League.
"ABC's opening was inappropriate and unsuitable for our Monday Night Football audience," a league spokesman said in a statement. "While ABC may have gained attention for one of its other shows, the NFL and its fans lost."
Oh really? This is the same NFL that has sponsored websites for all 32 teams Cheerleaders, correct? And on all these sights are women more scantily clad than Rose McGowan at the MTV Movie Awards. The NFL also said they gave permission for ABC Sports to gain access to the Eagles locker room on Friday to tape the skit, but said they did not have final approval over the script and that Monday Night was the first time they saw the skit. Yeah and OJ didn’t do it. Come on people, how dumb do you think we are? Nobody in any sort of official NFL position saw the skit until Monday night my ass!!!!!!! This is the most meaningless “controversy” of all time.
I hope the NFL, ABC and all these people get together for a meeting and some deranged psycho walks into the room and takes them all down with a semi-automatic weapon. Geez, just when I think things are turning around and I won’t be filled with spite and anger shit like this happens and gives me little hope for the future.

The "fat undersexed, out of work, nacho eating beer breathe smelling" that you're asking about is the same asshole that just voted W back into the White House.
I know you only think in the East Coast, but the game starts at 7 p.m. in the mountains and 8 p.m. in the Bible Belt. That's just the time when those "fat undersexed, out of work, nacho eating beer breathe smelling" people drop their 2.1 kids in front of the TV and crack open another beer or sneak off to the outhouse to procreate again.
I agree with you that the controversy is stupid, but that's what W's presedency is based on - MORAL VALUES. And by anybody's value rating, a 41-year old chick jumping for joy into a black man's arms just isn't what middle class white America wants to sit down to their after dinner 12-pack to watch.
Now if they picked a nice white guy, like say Peyton Manning or Brett Farve, I bet you wouldn't hear as much of this shit, but that's just the militant, Nat-X side of me coming out.
Besides, you see more tail on award shows than what she showed off. Did anyone see Anna Nicole's drunk ass on the AMA's? I just saw the PTI clip, but that's someone who deserves your bullets and rage, my fat fat friend.
and P.S. - Other people watch Saturday Night Live and remember their skit bashing Miller on MNF. Who can forget Eric Dickerson asking Dante Culpepper a question. That was classic
Lorne Micheals OUT
If anyone actually watched the completely inappropriate opening segment before MNF with T.O. and Nicollete Sheridan, and didn't find it inappropriate and offensive, they're morally destitute. A vast majority of the American viewing audience doesn't want to sit down at prime time and watch garbage like this on tv. This is especially true of parents who sat down with their children to watch football with their kids, which by the way, was 6:00 PM on the West Coast, 7:00 PM in the Mountain Time Zone, and 8:00 PM in the Central Time Zone -- none of which are times that are too late for 10 year old kids to be watching tv and hanging out with their parents. The only people who would find such tripe to be appropriate to be aired on public broadcast television are liberals such as the ones who supported the ultimate liberal a**hole, Kerry. I hope the FCC hits ABC with a big fine and hits ABC where it hurts.
