Sorry folks this week has been weak on the posts. It is mainly the heat, I mean come on people it's like a 1000 degrees out there, how am I expected to think.
I do appreciate the responses to the Rappers Delight post, it took a lot of time, hard work, dedication, and research by everyone on my staff and they should all be commended.
Well I guess there are a few things I could discuss:
I was watching Mike & the Mad Dog on YES the other day (for those who don't know, you better ask somebody) and Dog was talking about how it is enough already with the Bonds crap. If you are going to indict the guy fucking get on with it, and I agree wholeheartedly. Now again I am a Bonds fan and Bonds apologist or whatever you want to call it, but seriously this whole thing by the Fed's in San Francisco and Major League Baseball's investigative team has been a witch hunt from Day 1 to get Bonds. It has been going on for over 2 years now and guess what? They still have nothing on the guy. Literally everyday this week he was supposed to be indicted and guess what, no freaking indictment.
I always try to avoid TO issues, but this thing last week about him being misquoted in his own autobiography is classic. Is their anybody out there worse than this guy? What a stooge he is. He basically said he was misquoted by the dude he and his agent hand picked (his agents brother) to write this silly book. And in the preface of the book it says something like, my word from me to you. And he was misquoted, brilliant.
Oh yeah, and one other thing...........CLERKS II!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As far as Clerks II is concerned, I think if you're into the ViewAskew Universe, meaning if you know about the girl at the funeral in Clerks and have seen all five films, it will be satisfying, but it's not going to be a classic.
I mean, was Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back funny to the outside world? I laughed my ass off, but if you don't know that Jason Lee is two different characters, do you really get the jokes.
With Bonds, it's a funny thing to say but this is just another case of the white man keeping the black man down.
We, the white rich soceity, don't want Bonds, that mean negro, to get the record. What do we have on him? Oh you mean he was taking steroids like the 80 percent of the league that Canseco, that dumb roided spic, wrote about in his book? Well let's fry him to the floor with it...

Screw those guys, Bonds is the only one.

Have you seen that negro? He doesn't like to talk to the media and he's got all those MVP awards. And Big Mac is retired, so he's out of the picture. Call up our friends at all the papers. They'll bury everything else just like they've done for the past decade.
(But if they go after Bonds, they may think about going after other accussed users like Lance Armstrong or maybe dig deeper into Rafeal Palmerio, Ken Caminniti, Jason Grimsley or guys like that?)
Who is that person talking? Doesn't he realize that those guys are all good white outstanding citizens. Yeah Palmerio is Cuban, but he's such a good guy and he's always been nice. Screw that. Bonds is our guy. We'll burn him to the ground and have every stadium booing the best player of the last 30 years at every at bat.

I hate that I'm going back to back, so I'll keep it brief.
Clerks II has its funny moments. There are some great bits and the usual cameos. Randall is great, Rosario Dawson is not only hot, but puts the picture on her back and the only reason to bring Dante back is he was in the first one.
It's not unspeakably bad, but I'm not rushing to see it again and at the end, Kevin writes that Jay and Silent Bob might return, but for now they're taking a break and I think everyone is better for it.
